Me and my girlfriend drink a lot of water and i started saving the bottles so i could get the refund. I live in Draper Utah and its close to salt lake city... I would like to go turn them in.Where can i recycle my empty plastic water bottles in salt lake city for the .5 cents?

3.Tight tne gunny sack with the brick.
4.Dump into the lake and it will sink peacefully.
I don't know where you would recycle plastic bottles and actually make a profit of it, sorry. The only thing that I know you can recycle for cash is aluminum. But I do think that it's ironic that you want to recycle plastic bottles when they are completely unsustainable and so environmentally harmful.
It's good that you want to recycle and it's also good that you drink a lot of water - but I would really recommend buying a $15 stainless steel water bottle. It's safer, better water (in Utah you have pretty good water) and more environmentally friendly and they last forever and are really durable. It's a really easy switch once you get used to it.
Sorry to lecture but it is my goal to get people to stop using plastic water bottles!
To be helpful the first source I listed is an article about the troubles of recycling plastic water bottles - it seems to be very neutral and may help you.
The 2nd source is why plastic bottled water is a huge scam. Don't ever complain about the price of gas if you are sipping from plastic water bottles, they cost more than oil.Where can i recycle my empty plastic water bottles in salt lake city for the .5 cents?
You should look in the salt lake city governmental website. Maybe they have places there. Or look in a phone book. They might have people there who can help you recycle these items for a profit too.
the 5 cent refunds only apply to certain states and Utah is not one of them.
