Lots of great skiing in the SLC area. The link below should help you choose an area best suited to your particular wants and needs. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
I assume you mean near Salt Lake City. I would recommend either Deer Valley or Alta. They are both in the area and are ski-only resorts (they do not allow snowboarders). However, the other resorts in the area: Snowbird, Park City, Canyons, etc. are also very good.Where to ski in Salt Lake City?
There are no ski resorts in Salt Lake City. Look-up Park City.
