What does In transit, Salt lake city utah mean?

I know what In Transit means, but is it traveling FROM Utah or TO Utah when it says in transit salt lake city, Utah?



It has been on that status for about 2 days now, does it normally take that long for ground service to travel to another state? It is going to New Jersey by the way. And i don't mean that it should take less then 2 days from utah to NJ, just from Utah to its neighbur state :)What does In transit, Salt lake city utah mean?
It means the item was picked up in Salt Lake City, and is on the truck going to New Jersey.



With UPS and FedEx that would be about a 4 day lane. With the postal service it would be about 6 days. If you have a "Tracking Number", and apparently you do, it will show the estimated delivery date.What does In transit, Salt lake city utah mean?
Salt Lake City might have a distribution centre, so it takes a while for they to sort out where things go from there ...
