Does anyone know where I can find a Netherland Dwarf rabbit breeder somewhere close to Salt Lake Utah?

Please i really need to find a breeder close to Salt Lake City Utah so that I can buy my daughter one!!!!!Does anyone know where I can find a Netherland Dwarf rabbit breeder somewhere close to Salt Lake Utah?
How old is your daughter? If she is young, a dwarf is probably not the right rabbit for her! Small child = Big Rabbit, especially if it is her first.

I would recommend getting your rabbit from a rescue center. The bunnies there really need homes and buy from a pet store only promotes unnecessary breeding. The rabbits at the shelter are generally full grown (but they are not old), which is a good thing. Pet stores often don't even know what breed bunnies they have, and you get something bigger than you are expecting. Also, bunnies go through a "teenage" stage where they do everything they can to try to push the limits. This may scare your daughter, should pushing the limits including nipping. Shelters spay/neuter the bunnies, which is preventative not only in breeding terms, but health and temperament also. A rabbit at is 2 years old is good for a child. Rabbits live 6-8 years, sometimes as long as 12, you will still have plenty of time.

Please consider getting a bonded pair from a shelter. Bunnies are social animals, and enjoy company of their own kind.

I could not locate a shelter in Salt Lake, and I am from Michigan. There is one in Kanah, UT Here is there link:

Try your local shelter before spending money on rabbits in the store. The rabbits in the store are sometimes sick and the ones at the shelter are fixed and seen by a vet before being put up for adoption. You also have a larger variety of breeds at the animals shelter. . you may want a netherland dwarf but you may fall in love with another breed of rabbit.
