What are the top 5 neighborhoods near downtown Salt Lake City, UT?

I'm trying to find the top 5, family-friendly neighborhoods in or near downtown Salt Lake City. My family is not mormon, so we want to be very careful not to end up in a neighborhood that would be prejudiced to non mormons. Thanks for the help! What are the top 5 neighborhoods near downtown Salt Lake City, UT?
Most of the neighborhoods in the city of Salt Lake City are quite mixed, and non-Mormon prejudice does not have to be an element in living in your neighborhood.

Neighborhoods such as Sugarhouse, Harvard-Yale, 9th and 9th, the Avenues, and Federal Heights are all rather mixed communities. Park City is 30 minutes away and has a lot fewer LDS than other places.

LDS churches are called ward houses. If you search on a map of Salt Lake City on Yahoo! Maps, with the words "Church saints" you should be able to find where the ward houses are (you might want to refine your search to show 25 on a map at a time). They are scattered up and down the valley, and not all that are listed are used, but that will give you some idea of where they are.

I have lived in SLC for 7 years now, and other than the craziness that happens in our legislature, I have not faced prejudice directly from Mormons.

Note that your realtor cannot discuss the religion of the neighborhood. One way to get at this is asking what the average household size is like. Larger households will tend to be Mormon.
Then you need to stay as close to salt lake city as you possibly can lol

murray is all that I know of =)What are the top 5 neighborhoods near downtown Salt Lake City, UT?
Salt Lake City itself is not overwhelmingly Mormon. Going toward the University of Utah would be my recommendation. Try the part of town called "The Avenues," which is between downtown and the University.

The least Mormon neighborhoods are around Park City. It's a resort town that was settled in the 1880's not by Mormons. It is about 20 miles or 30 minutes from downtown.
eventually you will run into mormons, look I am in NC and I ran into mormons and they know I am mormon and they visit my church (the elders) and they harrass me to come back to church.

talk to a realator and find a nice house out int he country with no neighbors, thats all I can think of, otherwise, you will run into them eventualy.
