Is the Salt Lake Performing Arts High School Dance program worth it?

Hello, so I am thinking about going to the Performing Arts High School in Salt Lake City, Utah for dance.

I have been dancing for ten years now and I want to be a professional dancer. I would like to know, is the dance program worth it? Like, is it good? Thank you.Is the Salt Lake Performing Arts High School Dance program worth it?
I am really not familiar with the quality of their dance program. It would also depend on what type of dance you wish to pursue. My guess is that you may get teachers from Ballet West, which is a good program. This is a guess and I may be wrong about that. You should visit the school, check their facilities, and faculty and watch a dance presentation or dance class if they let you. See where their grads go for university/conservatory programs and see what professional dancers have come out of the school. That should tell you the most about the program.

I can tell you that my daughter found that her P.A. high school a real help in her career. Even though she was ballet academy trained, she got much better training in modern dance than her ballet academy provided and learned choreography skill that helped her get into NYU TIsch for dance and to have a career as a professional dancer. Her P.A. school is considered the template for most others in the country and has one of the best reputations for producing professional dancers, so I really don't know how other schools measure up . All I can say was that her experience was well worth it.

Again...check out the facility, teachers, and alumni to see how they fared. That will tell you the most if this school is "worth it."
