Or just Colorado vs Utah? Are they the similar?Whats the difference between living in Denver and Salt Lake City?
Denver deffinantly has an awesome music scene, and is way more fun to be in.
Downtown is heaven.
Utah, well...has more Mormons.
they're similar, but not completely the same.
the weather is pretty much the same
the colorado music scene is better :)
and in utah, the skiing areas are closer to the city than they are in colorado.
like, it's a few hours to the nearest ski area from denver. but it doesn't take as long from salt lake city.Whats the difference between living in Denver and Salt Lake City?
The big difference would probably be that the vast majority of people in SLC are LDS, which has its own "culture" and is often felt to be unfriendly to non-LDS unless the non-LDS is in the process of converting. Whether those perceptions are accurate may be another matter, but they have been noted consistently by my non-LDS friends who have moved to SLC.
In response to Mary L. Salt Lake is in general more conservative than Denver but not really unfriendly to people who aren't LDS. I lived there 4 years for school and SLC is actually pretty open to people with a variety of backgrounds not that you won't find people who are very serious about their conservative ideals but if you are looking for a more liberal place to live Denver over SLC. check out the newspapers from the areas and it can give you an better idea of the area. www.sltrib.com www.slweekly.com deseretnews.com www.rockymountainnews.com www.denverpost.com
