Gourmet grocer in Salt Lake City?

I have recently moved to Salt Lake City and am looking for a good gourmet grocery store, something like Trader Joe's. Is there anything like this here?



What about a discount grocer for the basics, like Winco or Aldi?

Try Pirate O's. They've got a great selection of gourmet food. They're located in Draper. 11901 S 700 E. 801-572-0956. Get off exit 12300 on I-15, and head east to 700 E, turn Left, go a few miles, it's on the East side of the street. And for the discount grocer - the best place is either Wal-mart or Costco. You have to have a membership for Costco, though.

Closest you'll get to Trader Joe's is Wild Oats, which is on 400 south in between 600 and 700 east. There's also a tiny little gourmet grocer called Liberty Heights Fresh (or something like that) on the corner of 1100 east and 1300 south. I've been here a year and that's all I've found (there are a couple specialty italian, indian, and asian groceries as well though)



I've never heard of Winco or Aldi, but Smiths and Albertsons are the big grocery stores on every corner.
