When do ski resorts in salt lake city open, and when does SLC start getting snow?

Starts snowing just before Halloween at altitude, people start hiking to ski at the very beginning of November, Brighton opens about the second week in November, and Snowbird/Alta opens at or near Thanksgiving. Park City and those other resorts will open sometime in November (usually on the later end) depending on how good the weather is for snowmaking early season. When do ski resorts in salt lake city open, and when does SLC start getting snow?
Actually, Salt Lake City itself doesn't get much snow, but the Wasatch Range located near by gets buried. While some of the ski areas may open as early as late October or early November, conditions may be variable until December. For early season skiing/boarding you are best off at the higher elevation ski areas such as Brighton, Solitude, Alta or Snowbird. If you are a boarder keep in mind Alta is off limits.

Hope this helps. Good Luck! When do ski resorts in salt lake city open, and when does SLC start getting snow?
