Its regular ground mail sent by the us postal service. thanksHow long does mail take normally from Salt Lake to Moscow?
If you are sending Priority International USPS, it should take about 7-14 days. If you would to send USPS Express, which is a bit more expensive, the letter should get there in 7-10 days.

If you want it to be delivered faster, you might want to consider FedEx or DHL, but the costs will be a bit higher than USPS.
If you're sending it ground mail, it could take months. But, why? Airmail isn't that much more expensive. The real issue is, what are the chances of it actually arriving at all? I'd say not much more than 75% If you send a thick letter (one that could conceivably have cash in it, the odds go down. If you send a postcard, the odds go up.

Airmail usually takes 2 weeks to arrive, for me. It helps a lot if you write the address in Russian, as well as English. How long does mail take normally from Salt Lake to Moscow?
a plain ol' letter takes us from 8 or 9 days to a month. usually 10 days to 2 weeks. i think that there is no ground rate for letters, all go by air. it is close to a dollar for an ounce letter. 96c it seems. i've been in russia for 6 months and don't remember!

parcels DO have a dirt rate; but often not much cheaper for a six-week wait. ($10 for ground, $14 for air, if memory serves me) my post office in usa confided SOMETIMES, ground packages get thrown into air mail for simplicity, but i say don't count on it. last year in usa we sent a couple by dirt rate, and it WAS the six-week wait.
