I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and am wondering where would be a good place to watch tonight's Leonid Meteor shower. I am wondering if there is a good place near the University of Utah that would be dark so I can get a good view. Any suggestions?Where is a good place to watch tonight's meteor shower in Salt Lake City?
I think your best time in North America is going to be from about 2:00AM to dawn on the Nov 17th (checkout the links below and decide for yourself) the earth will have past the peak at ~21:45UT over Mongolia so its going to be a pretty lite shower for the US.
So definitely get out a try to observe them. It's really
simple. All you need are your two eyeballs, lawn chair
that lays all the way back, a sleeping bag, and dark
skies (so get away from the city lights).
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
